Discovering Mturk

I first discovered Amazon's Mechanical Turk on August 31st 2009, a little more than 2 weeks ago today. When I first signed up, it was kind of difficult to figure out exactly what to do, and how to make money. There are no instructions, no help forum, very few useful FAQ's. These are now traits I've come to appreciate. You see, unlike other sites that claim you can make money with them and offer further rewards for referring friends, Mturk does not. In fact, it is best to keep it a secret for as long as you can, because the more people that find out about it, the less jobs there are for me.

My first day on Mturk I made $1.14. My second day $2.69. Third day $4.13. And the most I've made in a single day so far was on my fourth day $13.66. It's not much. You can't really replace your income, but it's real money. And it's easy.
